She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Hurt and Louie Allen Hurt. She is survived by: her children, Trisha Makowski, Joshua Makowski, Natalie Stubblefield and Elijah Poston; her brother Gary Lynn Hurt; her nephew Jonathan; her daughter Carrie; her sister Sherry Doty Balkovec; her niece Angela Doty Keister; her half-brothers, Allen Hurt and Richard Ellingwood; her aunt Laverne Moore; and her husband Edwin Arthur Wyatt. She is also survived by her stepdaughters and their children and grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home (601 S Tennessee St, McKinney, TX 75069). A reception was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at 917 Canyon Wren Dr, McKinney, TX 75071.
Flowers may be sent via the funeral home website, or in place of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Teresa's name to the National Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation, or the American Lung Association (for Pulmonary Sarcoidosis research) to allow her memory to continue to live on by inspiring strength, resilience, and generosity for those suffering the same conditions that affected her life.
