He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Craig Sheffield and Hazel Sheffield; and his brothers, David and Jack Sheffield. He is survived by: his wife Frances Sheffield of McKinney; his son Brett Sheffield (Angie); his granddaughter Maggie of Frisco; his daughter Belinda Randall (Bryan) of Alpharetta; and his mother-in-law Margaret Solito. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
