He was predeceased by: his mother Clemmie Barrett (Crone); his son Richard Allen Barrett; and his brother Jack Conrad Barrett. He is survived by: his father Newell Barrett; his brother Bill Funderburk (Virginia Schmidt Barrett); his daughters, Laura, Lisa, Susan and Ruth; his grandchildren, Steven Oliver, Joe, Suezanne, Katie Ryan and Nicki Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Spencer, Hanna and Grace Oliver.
