He is survived by: his wife Kristina Stroehlein Gilmer (MD); his children, William S Gilmer MD, Elizabeth Jaubert Gilmer, Dorothy Gilmer Pearson, Julia Gilmer Lahey and Leo Kenney Gilmer; his grandchildren, Jeremy Travis Smith, Dillon Parker Smith, Darrel Ray Pearson Jr., Britney Marie Pearson, Brianna Elizabeth Menotti and Samantha Kenney Menotti; his stepson John Allan Stroehlein; his stepgrandson Luke Reid Stroehlein; and his great grandchild Maggie Belle Smith.
