She was predeceased by: her parents, Walton Short (Jake) and Gillie Warfield Short. She is survived by: her husband William Shawley (Bill); her sisters, Barbara Thomas of Stillwater and Kay Tarbox of Hopkinsville; her children, Terri Miller of Frisco, TX and Rusty Shawley of Fort Collins; her grandsons, Jeremy Shawley and Dylan Shawley; her great grandchildren, Paige and Warren Shawley; and her siblings, D. N. Short, Ellen Harris and Jerri Short McKinney. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
