He was predeceased by: his parent Jessie Mae Covington (Lewis); his wife Beverly Covington (Davidson); his father Robert "Bob" Covington; and his siblings, James "Sonny" Covington, R. L. Covington, Frances Airhart and Wanda Bowers.
He is survived by: his children, Josh Covington of McKinney, Texas and Joanna Higginbotham (Danny) of McKinney, Texas; his granddaughters, MacKenzie and Hannah Higginbotham; and his brother Bobby Covington of Sachse, Texas.
