He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lee Dalton and Emma Jean Hammett; his children, Mark Hammett, Patricia Trites, Michael Hammett, Paul Hammett and Jean Clarke; his wife Elizabeth Aylesworth; and his daughter Pati. He was also cherished by four children, thirteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
