He was predeceased by: his parents, Foster Oliver Trimble (F. O.) and Lura Ellen Shouse Trimble; and his siblings, Glenn Allen Trimble and Lou Ellen Trimble Preston. He is survived by: his children, Gary Allen Trimble (Marketa) and Janet Lynn Trimble Long (Louis); and his grandchildren, Andrea Long Villarreal, Jordan Long, Matthew Long, Forrest Long, Philip Long and Linnea Long Warnick. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Livingston County Historical & Genealogical Society in Smithland, Kentucky https://lchgs.org.
