He was predeceased by: his parents, Effie Wilma (Reed) and Alfred Christian Pomerenke, Sr.; his wife Wanda Marie Walter; and his siblings, Fred, Alfred Pomerenke, Delores "Sis" Johnson and Anita "Nicky" Burgess.

He is survived by: his children, Alan Pomerenke (Sheila) of McGregor and Shellie Rubell (Marq) of Denton; and his grandchildren, Breanna Pomerenke, Avery Pomerenke and Landry Rubell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
