It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Eugene Engelbrecht of McGregor, Texas, born in Crawford, Texas, who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Engelbrecht and Adelia Engelbrecht (Jacobs); his wife Mildred Ann Quebe; and his sister Angeleen Polley. He is survived by: his children, Darrell Engelbrecht (Scherry) and Debra Cowan (Chick); his siblings, Clarence Engelbrecht (Marlene) and Frances Bieber; and his grandsons, Brett Shank, Bradley Engelbrecht (Cara), Adam Engelbrecht, Stephen Brim (Ashley) and Sean Brim. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
