He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas James and Ruie Thelma Smith (Deal); and his siblings, Richard Thomas Smith (Dick), Elmer Clay Smith (Claybo) and Tommie Ruth Smith.

He is survived by: his sons, Randy (Karla), Clinton (Lisa) and Steven (Misty); his wife Colleen Smith; his grandchildren, Kole, Kenzie, Koby, Bryce, Bella, Susannah and Kade; and his siblings, Mary Francis Smith, Bobbie Joyce Owen, Alice Jane Nelson (Billy Pat) and Jimmy Smith.
