She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Ellis; her parents, John Henry and Myrtie Batey; and her sisters, Faye Batey, Erma Hensley, Bernice Dingler and Opal Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Elaine "Janey" DeJonghe (Greg) of McGregor and Joe (Virginia) of McGregor; her grandsons, Tyler and Eric (Cierra); her daughter Chandler (Ben Dickerson); her grandson Zachary Ellis (Leah); and her children, Avery, Owen, Anderson and Emmalyn.
