He was predeceased by: his parents, James Toll Ward and Mae Ward (Knight); and his siblings, Franklin, Vernon Banks, Jake, Curtis, Inez Bennett and Edna Warren.

He is survived by: his wife Blanche Ward; his children, Don Ward (Billie) and Pam DeBorde (David); his grandsons, Joshua Ward (Liz) and Brad DeBorde (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Henry Ward, Robin DeBorde and Anna Ward.
