He is survived by: his sons, Josh and Iraan Braves; his wife Laqueta Swanner; his grandchildren, Lesley Bond, Tyler "Tooter" Bond and Orryn "Tater" Bond of Rankin; his great grandchild Audie Bond of Rankin; and his siblings, Eugene (Lori Covill), Luanne Bentley, Charlie (Nancy Covill) and Lois (John North).
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nichols Funeral Home - McCamey (1000 Hwy 1901, McCamey, TX 79752). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Resthaven Cemetery (2000 FM 305, McCamey, TX 79752).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Saranne and Benny Judkins in honor of Billie and Zane Judkins Scholarship.
