He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Elva Meraz; his son Jesus Meraz; and his siblings, Concession Tarango, Luz Tarango, Pedro Meraz, Pablo Meraz and Manuel Meraz.
He is survived by: his children, Francisco Meraz of McCamey, Librado Meraz Jr. of McCamey, Heriberto Meraz of McCamey, Raul Meraz of Midland, Ana Luisa Baeza of Midland, Elia Vallez of Midland, Barbara Gallardo of McCamey and Martha Elva Meraz of McCamey; and his sisters, Eduviges Hernandez and Romana Melendez. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
