She was predeceased by: her father Dr. James Leonard Cooper; her sister Davena Barfield; her former husband Greg Brazell; and her brother Jim Barfield. She is survived by: her mother Mary Alice Cooper of Odessa; her husband Gilbert Jean Van Deventer; her sisters, Judy Cooper Walker of Albuquerque, NM and Jan Cooper of Albuquerque, NM; her children, Samantha Little and Zachary Brazell; and her children-in-law, Patrick William Van Deventer and Ashlee Van Deventer. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the McCamey Cemetery.
