It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles H. Davis Jr. of McCamey, Texas, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Davis, Sr. and Minerva Davis; his wife Adelia (Mort); his siblings, Russell Davis, Omer Wilson, Leck Wilson, Bill Wilson, Bob Wilson and June Krug; and his grandson Mason Hoskinson.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Davis (Bettie) of Hudsonville, James Davis (Melodie) of Dorr, Alan Davis (Elaine) of Midland, TX and Kevin Davis (Angelica) of McCamey, Texas; his grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Jesse Davis, Ethan Davis, Micah Davis, Jennifer Hoskinson Beckett, Tara Davis, Cody Davis, Scott Davis, Dallas Davis, Austin Davis, Avery Davis, Chayton Davis, Nolan Davis and Arwen Davis; his great grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Isabella Davis, Finley Daniels, Calliope Davis, Lamont Davis, Audrina Davis, Karsen Davis, Kaden Davis, Dezirae Davis, Remi Davis, Piper Davis and Parker Davis; and his sisters, Joy Jones, Imogene Mulder and Judy Kennedy.
He actually played on the Hopkins High inaugural football team in 1949, in the days of leather helmets and no face masks.
