She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Krauss and Johanna Krauss; her husband Johnny Franz; and her siblings, Margot Palombella, Helga Zeh, Elvira Bergmann and Eginhard Krauss.

She is survived by: her children, Siglinde, John David Franz (Annette) of Pharr, Texas and Carolyn Franz Almstedt of Garland, Texas; her son-in-law Tom Almstedt of Ledbetter; her grandchildren, John David Franz, Jr. (Kathryn), Steven Andrew Franz and Lauren Michelle Almstedt of Houston, Texas.; and her great grandchild Kiley Rae of Edinburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund in Hidalgo, Texas.
