He is survived by: his parents, Romero Cortez and Teresa McDonald; his daughter Jasmine Nacole Cortez (Gabriel Ayala); his granddaughters, Ariana Ayala and Alaina Ayala; his siblings, Shannon Fulton (Dale) and Blair McKendree; and his uncles, Abel Cortez Jr. and Arturo Javier Cortez. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
