He was predeceased by: his mother Elva Benitez Ramon; and his brother Rosenaldo Benitez. He is survived by: his wife Edith Benitez; his children, Elva Edith Benitez, Rosendo Benitez (Stephanie V.) and Ray Benitez (Felicia L.); his grandchildren, Rosendo III, Romeo, Alessandra Aribella, Anastasia Catalina, Royce, Rydr, Ray Jr. and Rayne Ayarie; his father Ramiro Benitez; and his siblings, Elda Alvarez, Elvia Garza, Enedelia Hinojosa, Elia Leza, Ramiro Benitez Jr., Rene Benitez, Esther Martinez, Roel Benitez, Elva Edith Benitez, Estella Benitez-Luna and Geronimo Benitez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
