He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingo Cantu and Gertrudis Cantu; and his brother Domingo Cantu. He is survived by: the mother of his children Lucila M. Cantu of Alamo; his children, Roel Cantu, Jr. (Noemi) of El Campo, TX, Maria Cecilia Garcia (Robert) of Alamo and Paula Gertrudis Alaniz (Carlos) of Alamo; and his siblings, Ludivina Gonzalez and Rolando Cantu. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
