He is survived by: his wife Hortensia S. Garza; his children, Hortencia G. Martinez, Rodolfo Marcelo Garza Jr. and Gavino M. Garza; and his brother Romeo Garza. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren & 6 great-great-grandchildren.
