With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Mendez of McAllen, Texas, born in Pharr, Texas, who passed away on July 1, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregorio Pequeno and Estefana Pequeno (Gonzalez); her son Juan A. Mendez; and her husband Guadalupe Gonzalez. She is survived by: her children, Lina Mendez, Maria D. Gonzalez, Rita M. Gonzalez, Jessica Quirino and David G. Mendez. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance.
