He is survived by: his mother Enedina Villarreal; his wife Lorena Villarreal; his sons, Alexis Villarreal and Jose Rene Villarreal; and his siblings, Saul Perez (Maria), Reynaldo Cantu, Jr., Carmelita Trevino, Jessica G. Ramirez and Edna Magali Cantu (Jose Loera). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
