He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ruben D. Zapata of Azle, TX and Reynaldo Zapata of Los Angeles, CA. He is survived by: his wife Merced A. Zapata; his children, Ramiro O. Zapata (Julie) of San Antonio and Melissa Garcia (Frank) of McAllen; his grandchildren, Megan Snelson (John Michael) of Austin, TX, Maren Garcia, Melanie Garcia, Ramiro Allen and Marina Zapata of San Antonio; and his brother Ricardo Zapata (Dinah) of Clinton, WA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
