He was predeceased by: his parents, Norberto Avila and Lydia Avila. He is survived by: his wife Amy A. Avila; his daughters, Margaret L. Gallardo (Yesenia), Lisa Y. Carver (Michael) and Virginia C. Avila (Evelio); his siblings, David Avila (Carmen), Albert Avila (Sylvia) and Thelma Avila (Damian); and his stepchildren, Jose Acosta (Raquel), Angela Acosta (Robert) and Jennifer Acosta (Danny). He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
