She was predeceased by: her parents, Santiago Acevedo and Julia Acevedo (Vela); her husband Pete Chavez; and her son Luis Chavez. She is survived by: her children, Jose E. Lopez, Judy Lee Precup and Elizabeth Salazar; and her grandchildren, Abigail Renee Precup, Michael A. Chavez, Jovani Lee Chavez, Serena Lee Chavez and Ginger Lopez. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
