He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Adele (Zdebski); his sons, Scott (Kara) of Wisconsin Rapids and Daniel (Lynn) of Mattoon; his grandchildren, Austin and Cade; his siblings, Mary Lou (Janowitsch), Lloyd and Kathleen (Ostrowski); his brother-in-law Helmut "Harry" Janowitsch; and his parents, Louis Stankowski and Mary Stankowski (Bruski).
