We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2020, at the age of 86, Minerva Lazo Barrera (McAllen, Texas), born in Mission, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfredo Lazo and Minnie Crum Lazo; her sisters, Thelma Reid and Velia Hinojosa; and her half-brothers, Sonny Lazo and Arturo Lazo Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Alfredo R. Barrera of McAllen; her children, Dina Wilson (Ken) of Edinburg, Arthur Barrera (Joan) of McAllen and Sandy Burris (Tony) of San Antonio; her grandchildren, Alyssa Fowler, Jennifer Martelli, Jacklyn Newton, Amanda Pagan, Derek Burris, Matt Wilson and Courtney Villarreal; and her great grandchildren, Ayla Davila, Gabrielle Featherson, Kailey Wilson, Hayden Wilson, Merrik Wilson, Ethan Fowler, Levin Pagan and Emma Martelli.
