He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret "Rita" Trippel; and his stepmother Helen Trippel. He is survived by: his father Richard C. Trippel Sr.; his sons, Tim Trippel and Matt Trippel; and his siblings, Richard C. "Buck" Trippel Jr. (Claudia), Steven Trippel, James "Jim" Trippel (late Donna), Pamela "Pam" Baker (Rick) and Diane Trippel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
