He was predeceased by: his parents, Mauro Solis Sr. and Sabina Alvarado Solis; and his sister Amalia McDaniel. He is survived by: his wife Maria Francisca Solis; his sons, Mauro Solis III (Mayra), Bernardo "Barney" Solis (Miros), Javier Solis (Erika) and David Solis (Amanda); and his siblings, Elvira Acevedo, Mateo Solis, Marcela Pena, Hermelinda Macal, Luisa Collett, Santana Solis and Gregorio Solis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
