She was predeceased by: her parents, Serafin Rodríguez and Esperanza Rodríguez; her siblings, Oralia Rodríguez and Juan Jose Rodríguez (JJ); and her son Lázaro R. González, Jr. (Larry).
She is survived by: her brother Ramon S. Rodríguez (Usnoa); her children, Melva González Codina, Gilda González Sánchez (Herón) and Robert R. González (Terrie); and her grandchildren, Alan Codina, Claudia Codina McWhorter, Candice Mendoza, Mark Mendoza, Christopher González, Sandra González Sanz, Lauren González, Michael González, Suzette González, John Robert González, Eliza Sanchez and Vanessa Cruz. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and other family members.
