He was predeceased by: his parents, Transito Ruiz and Maria Ruiz (Morales). He is survived by: his wife Tomasa Lopez Ruiz Martinez; and his children, Manuel Ruiz, Maria Elena Ruiz, Yolanda Ruiz, Anabertha Ruiz and Selene Ruiz.
