He was predeceased by: his parents, Eulalio Garza and Enedelia Cantu; and his father-in-law Rodolfo Espinosa. He is survived by: his wife Linda Espinosa Garza; his children, Jose David Garza Jr. (Nancy), Krystle Garza and Amy Cummings (Isak); his grandchildren, Alyssa of David, Carter and Emily; his siblings, Sylvia, Rivera, Teresa Inelda Ramos (Guadalupe), Graciela Garza, Juan A. "Johnny" (Maria Elena), Raul (Gloria), Ramiro and Leonel E. Garza (Angela); his siblings-in-law, Rodolfo "Rudy" Espinosa, Diana Mancha (Javier) and Sandra Guerra (Leonard); and his mother-in-law Delia Salinas Espinosa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the ALS Foundation in David's name.
