He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Esther Cazares; and his parents, Eduardo Cazares and Emma Cazares. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Jose L. Cazares, Jr. (Joey), Aida L. Cazares Martinez (Larry), David E. Cazares, Luis A. Cazares and Zina M. Cazares; and his siblings, Ramiro Cazares and Elvia Guinn. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
