It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Scott Ford of McAllen, Texas, who passed away on August 7, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of John Scott Ford to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Scott Ford and Helen Marie Survillo; and his sisters, Eleanor Ann Ford and Pauline Louise Ford. He is survived by: his daughter Katherine Ford Hughes (Chris); his grandsons, Jake Hughes of Moulton and Beau Hughes of Moulton; and his brother James Ford (Sue) of San Antonio. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made in John's honor. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the "Dr. John Scott Ford Memorial Classical Guitar Scholarship" to benefit Classical Guitar students at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Division of Institutional Advancement, 701 E. Expressway 83, Box #13, McAllen, TX 78501.
