He was predeceased by: his parents, Evaristo Alaniz and Minerva Alaniz (Diaz); and his sister Sylvia Silguero. He is survived by: his siblings, Arthur Alaniz (Linda), Mary Alfaro, Rudy Alaniz, Yolanda Sandoval (Joel), Eva Bridgewater (Jim) and Norma Sandoval (Hiram).
