He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Lilia Barrera. He is survived by: his children, Jesus Barrera (Armandina), Rosa Fuentes (Joel), Oscar Barrera (Maria), Lazara Arevalo (Alejandro), Alonzo Barrera (Anita) and San Juana Mata (Marco). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
