She was predeceased by: her husband Hector Barrera, Sr.; and her parents, Refugio Garcia (Chuy) and Rosa Peña. She is survived by: her aunt Petra; her children, Cum Laude, Bachelor of Science, Hector Barrera Jr., Elizabeth (Liza) and Jason; and her siblings, Rene Peña, Ruben Silguero, John Silguero and Jesusa Martinez (Susie).
