He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Strauss; his children, Denise Strauss, Deborah Hutchinson (Thomas), Gregory Strauss (Kelly), Michelle Strauss and Andrew Strauss (Miguel); his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Strauss; his siblings, Marilyn Conklin, Robert Strauss (Frances) and Ronald Strauss (Judy); his grandchildren, Stacie Collins, Brian Collins (Shannon), Nicole Moore, Danny Strauss and Gerald Strauss; and his great grandchildren, Ellis, Dillon Collins, Jack, Aiden Collins, Mila, Liam Moore and Dillon Ellis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Joan of Arc Catholic Church (109 S Illinois Ave, Weslaco, TX 78596).
Professionally, Gerald made significant contributions to employment assistance, tirelessly working for the state of Michigan to help others find their paths in the workforce.
