He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Franz and Concepcion Franz; and his siblings, Johnny Franz, Robert Franz, Jimmy Franz, Freddie Franz and Esther F. Rodriguez.

He is survived by: his wife Socorro Garcia; his children, Melissa Franz-Sepolio (Cory) of Houston, Texas and Frank Anthony Franz III (Lisa) of McAllen; his granddaughter Addyson Hope Sepolio of Houston; and his siblings, Elena F. Ubias of Pasadena, Texas, Elia Franz of Hidalgo, Texas and Rodolfo Franz (Yolanda) of Hidalgo.
