She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Cortez and Josefa Juarez Cortez; and her father-in-law Fermin Guerra. She is survived by: her son Johnny; her granddaughter Elizabeth; her husband Juan Guerra; her children, Juan E Guerra, Aaron Guerra and Crystal Guerra; her grandchildren, Eli of Weslaco and Loralina Guerra of Weslaco; her siblings, Janie Cortez, Josefina Amequito (Jorge), Mary Teresa De Leon (Bryan), Abraham Cortez Jr. (Julia), Gilbert Cortez (Isabel), Joe Cortez (Lisa) and Paul Cortez (Rosario); her mother-in-law Esther Guerra; and her siblings-in-law, Daniel Guerra (Delia), David Guerra (Isela), Maria Elena Guerra, Elizabeth Guerra, Maria Esther Guerra (Nicolas), Sara Ramirez and Maria Estebané (Esteban). She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
