She was predeceased by: her parents, Cipriano Hinojosa and Aída Hinojosa (Ríos); her husband Lázaro "Lito" Hinojosa, Jr.; and her siblings, Mary Garcia, Manuel Hinojosa and Irma Heckendorn.

She is survived by: her aunts, Estéfana and Zoila Hinojosa; her daughters, Anna B. Garcia, Clara Dina Hinojosa and Elena; her son-in-law Jeff Brooks; her grandchildren, Debralee Rodriguez (Omar), Nicholas Brooks (Cela) and Clark Brooks; her great grandchildren, Aden and Caleb Rodriguez; and her grandchild Abiel Hinojosa (Cecilia).

Memorial contributions may be made in Elida's name to the Catholic Daughters' scholarship fund for outstanding high school graduates.
