He was predeceased by: his parents, Epifanio Escamilla and Antonia Vargas; and his son Efren Escamilla, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Evangelina M. Escamilla; his daughters, Maria Escamilla-Flores (Miguel Flores), Monica Escamilla, Veronica Perales, Evangelina Escamilla and Cecilia Treviño (Carlos J. Treviño); his sister Maria Martinez; and his grandchildren, Michael Perales, Marcus Perales, Alessandra Flores, Eva Treviño, Evan Treviño, Elia Treviño and Abby Treviño.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home - McAllen (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St Joseph the Worker Church (900 S 23rd St, McAllen, TX 78501). A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Gardens (3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
