He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maria Cruz Grimaldo Valdez and Agustin Valdez; his wife Lidia Valdez; his daughters, Mary Roel (Fabiel Roel), Gladys Valdez (Edward Ross) and Yvette Valdez (Jay Galindo); his grandchildren, Natali Flores, Najla Roel (Eduardo Larrazolo), Shayla Roel, Fabiel Roel, Nathaneal Sauseda and Alyssa Sauseda; and also, Estefana Ayala Valdez and Hector Valdez.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home - McAllen (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Valley Memorial Gardens (3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
