He was predeceased by: his parents, Albino De Hoyos Martinez and Concepcion Martinez Herrera; his brother Hector Arturo Martinez; his niece Christina Marie Martinez; and his brother-in-law Jose Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Benavides; his daughters, Karis Del Bosque (Steve Del Bosque), Mariel Hall (Brian Hall) and Liana Martinez; his stepson Jose Luis Garza; his siblings, Oscar Martinez (Tina Martinez), Norma Martinez and Irma Martinez; and his granddaughters, Kaelyn Renee Bagley, Emma Rose Hall and Elise Niccole Del Bosque. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and wife.
