He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle William Birdsong and Paula Johanna Stiegemeyer; and his brother Wayne Edward Birdsong. He is survived by: his wife Anna Maria Birdsong; his sons, Doyle Wayne Birdsong (Odilia), Juan Jose Rodriguez Jr. (Gloria) and John Landry Birdsong (Patricia); his grandchildren, Linda Rae Evans (Brian), Michael Scott Birdsong, Dwayne Edward Birdsong (Valerie), Brittany Kenney (Isaiah), Juan Jose Rodriguez III, Christian John Birdsong and Joshua Edward Birdsong; and his great grandchildren, Morgan Beach, Brennan Evans, Wyatt Wayne Birdsong, Brock Evans and Michael Nathaniel Kenney.
