She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignacio Vela and Carmen Vela of Ramirez; and her brothers, Arturo E. Ramirez and Ignacio Ramirez, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Le Roy Jackson; her children, Le Roy Jackson, Jr. (Brenda Lopez) and Adrianna Caldwell (Gregory); her grandchildren, Katherine Caldwell, Hunter R. Jackson (Victoria), Avery L. Jackson and Devin Lewis; and her great grandchildren, Tristen Jackson, Ryder Jackson, Debra Rodriguez and Lucas Rodriguez.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kreidler Funeral Home, Inc. (314 N 10th St, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (1108 W Hackberry Ave, McAllen, TX 78501).
