He was predeceased by: his wife Aidina "Dina" Barrera; and his parents, Pedro Barrera and Tomasa Barrera. He is survived by: his daughter Frances L. De La (Jason); his stepdaughters, Anna Marie Hernandez (Edelberto) of McAllen and Lily Santana (Nestor) of McAllen; his grandchildren, Deidra De La Rosa, Nathan De La Rosa, Dina Inch, Michael Valdez, Matthew Valdez, Vanessa Garcia and Yulissa Santana; and his siblings, Reynaldo Barrera, Pedro Barrera Jr., Juan Barrera, Angie Chandler, Carmen Ruiz and Petra Zamora. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
