She was predeceased by: her parents, Melquiades Rodriguez and Leocadia Torres; her husband Jose M. Arellano; her brother Manuel Gomez; and her great grandchild Robert C. Saenz.
She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Arellano of McAllen, Rosario Chapa of McAllen, Delia Longoria of Wimberley, Joe Arellano Jr. (Celia) of Houston, Javier Arellano of Corpus Christi and Areopagita Rodriguez (Albert) of Austin. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
